Brief

Since 2002, Guildhall has been focused on educating people on the value of hard asset investments, and providing a vehicle to invest in physical hard assets. They focus on educating their clients via their radio show and offer many solutions that range from RRSP/TFSA programs to the purchasing of gold, silver and PMG bars, to natural fancy coloured diamonds.

Insight

Guildhall approached us to develop a full e-commerce website for them that would allow their clients to easily purchase their hard assets. There were a few special considerations with this e-store. The price of the products needed to be fluid and change depending on the price of gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Additionally, products would be available for purchase in USD or CAD, and the conversion rate would have to be fluid, as the currency would change throughout the day. The store would also have to have online and offline hours to match the trading hours of the precious metals.

Our Solution

Considering all the unique factors with this project, DMG created a responsive website built on a CMS platform. Precious metals feeds were pulled in from third-party sources to determine product pricing. Currency rate feeds were also pulled and used. A fully managed store hour’s system was implemented, giving clients easy access to adjust their store hours and limiting when products could be purchased. Esthetically the website carries many of the design cues found on the client’s other company websites to bring continuity to the brand.
